How can I create victory rolls with shorter hair?

My friend’s 18th is coming up and my outfit reminds me of something from the 1940’s in terms of its pattern, so I want to recreate such a look with my hair, whilst my outfit gives it that more modern edge. The only problem I have is that my hair is just a bit above the shoulders and has a few layers that I’ve almost finished growing out. All the tutorials I’ve managed to find are for those with longer hair. I’m just wondering if anyone here could find a link for shorter hair, tell me how they do it (and if it could work for short hair), or recommend other 1940’s hair styles that I could use. If you could reply to me asap as the party is less than a week away now. Thank you. Ps if there’s any makeup tips you can give to create such a look it would be much appreciated :)

Thanks, I looked up some vintage ones, but with a bit of layers its a bit hard. How would you do a monroe one, would love to be able to sometime. Thanks for answering, helped me out a lot. :) x

You should be able to do one with less hair, if anything it should be a little easier. Why not try a decade ahead with a monroe sort of set?

Also, check youtube. There are amazing vintage hair and makeup tutorials on there. Seriously.
