Hey if you are responsible and start like doing more stuff around the house to help your parents out and like maybe even get a part time job and ask them if i help pay for my pet and i promise to take really good care of it can i please get a small dog and when you ask them make sure that they are having a good day just convince them that you will take really good care of it and there is a small chance they might say okay ♥ Megan

alot of parents hesitate to get their child a pet because they fear the child may not be responsible enough or have a concept of exactly how much work goes into taking care of a dog. your parents don’t want to get you a dog and then be stuck with having to take care of it. what you’ll have to do, is show your parents that you’re willing to take on that responsibility. do some research on the breed of dog you want and learn it. then approach your parents with what you’ve learned and maybe they’ll be impressed with what you’ve learned.

but most importantly, make sure you are ready to take care of the dog. not just when its fun to play with. small dogs especially require alot of effort and care.

Hah, im having the same problem here, im telling them cool facts such as they can lower your blood pressure whenever you stroke them, thy warn you of danger and are always happy to see their owner.Since dogs love their owner as much as we do, they will protect us of dangers (this is one of the reasons i want a german shepherd). Help around the house and that and when they say no, dont take it too seriously and dont beg and whine and cry, it makes you look immature. Plus, another cool fact, dogs help strengthen your immune system. Visit nextdaypets for more details on dogs and breedmatcher and puppyfinder.
