How can I communicate with my dad?

Ok so I pretty much hate my dad. Hes horrible and cruel, he yells all the time, he jumps to conclusions, hes completely disgusting, purposefully embarrassing, and worst of all he’s horrible to my mother who I love dearly. He wont listen to me! every time I try to talk to him seriously he just thinks Im being stupid, laughs,and walks away. If I get mad when he does that, he screams at me! The only time he can be serious is when hes angry. How can I get him to listen to me and try to understand without getting a negative response?

what does your mother say about it? if it’s that hard to talk to your dad, write him a letter. if that doesn’t work…don’t grow up like your dad.

I am sorry to hear about your relationship with your dad. Hope your mom can find a way to encourage him to go on for a counseling. This kind of behavior is absolutely abnormal for a father, sorry to say this, but he needs counseling so he can improve his relationship with you and your mother, as well. I think your dad is going thru something which he needs help. A normal dad, would’nt yell at you for no reason at all. If he is a good father he will listen to you and take care of your mom. This is a simple thing that every human being knows. Hope you can find enough courage more to try these things despite what he did to you. Godbless.
