How can a heart behind bars symbolize Dracula by Bram Stoker?

Im reading Dracula by Bram Stoker and I have to give a presentation on a symbol representing the story im reading and I need to type my presetation. If I dont do this I fail his class :( this is my last year in high school hopefully im not very good in english class

You could maybe use the heart behind bars to symbolise repression? Dracula is a negative character that has never loved anything before except his own greed, so you probably can’t use him to represent the symbol. Think of any other characters in the story you could use who have been repressed or punished in some way. Maybe Lucy because she was a normal human being, engaged to be married, and her life was taken away by Dracula who converted her to a vampire?
