Does honey really get rid of acne?

Does honey really get rid of pimples?I have really bad acne, need a quick natural cure.

Answer #1

I’m trying it tonight, we’ll see!

The version I read was “apply honey on the blemish and cover with a bandaid”. If it works, great! If not, oh well, I needed to buy honey anyway. :)

I’ve used toothpaste before, but I don’t think it worked well on me, but hey, everyone is different!

Answer #2

Yes it does and also put some crest original toothpaste on it overnight, it works as well. Also washing your face with listerine is awesome too, just dont get it in your eyes.

Answer #3

Stop dissing proactive guys. With any Medicine, expensive or not, it will take the medicine awhile to start working. You have to give it a few weeks at LEAST, and if you don’t…you’re not giving it a chance. Sometimes you’ll get a blemish in the first few weeks, but that’s typical. No medicine out there is perfect. Every medicine has a different effect on different people.

DONT use Cleasasil ultra!! I used it once and the acne went away but then it came right back. Watch what you eat..cleanse your skin…try if you can ask ur doctor for a prescription..Duac works really good!!

Answer #6

It does, actually! It has anti-bacterial properties which helps clear your skin. Just apply a thin layer of it over a zit and it should help clear it up. I was skeptical at first too so I applied it to a big one on my back and by the next morning it was like half its original size.

Answer #7

no. it’s can’t dry them out, and it is to oily and greasy it just clogs them even worse. try toothpaste or armon hammer baking soda.

Answer #8

Acne or pimples are caused by hormonal changes, wrong food habits and improper skin care. A lot of home remedies do work but take time if you want results fast I would recommend Proactive Solution it is 100% proven to work can be pricey but if its causing you to not feel good about yourself & causing stress in your life money should not be an issue. If money is an issue then I recommend these home remedies.

Grind nutmeg with unboiled milk and apply on affected area. This works as a magic. Pimples should disappear without leaving a mark.

Make a paste by mixing 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. Repeat for two weeks, pimples will disappear forever.

Apply a mixture of 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder.

Make orange peel paste by grinding it in some water. Apply on and around pimples.

Rub fresh garlic on and around pimples. Pimples will disappear without a mark with regular applications.

Mix 1 tablespoon groundnut oil with 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice to prevent formation of blackheads and pimples .

Apply fresh mint juice over the face every night for the treatment of pimples, insect stings, eczema, scabies, & other skin infections.

Apply a paste of fresh fenugreek leaves over the face every night for 10-15 minutes and washed with warm water. This will prevent pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles.

Apply juice of raw papaya (including the skin and seed) on swelling pimples.

Apply fresh lime juice mixed to a glass of boiled milk as a face wash for pimples.

Mix lime juice and rose water in equal portions. Apply on affected area. Wash it off after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water.

Apply ripe tomatoes pulp on pimples and kept up to 1 hour, then wash.

Answer #12

Answer #13

Natural remedies work the best. You really don’t need any acne medications, but you can use natural acne medications if you just wash your face DAILY not CONSTANTLY. If you have oily skin, you can try using alcohol and blotting it on the affected areas with a cotton ball. If you have dry skin try using face masks with pineapple or cucumber in it. Even Aloe Vera. I also grow Aloe in my house, so I use that as a remedy for sunburn, scars, insect bites and acne. If you have oily hair, then that also can affect your skin. Try washing your hair every other day with a natural shampoo and conditioner and allowing it dry by air. Oily hair = Oily skin.

Answer #14
