Are there any homemade flea remedies?

My dog has fleas and I was wondering if there are any household products like vinegar or something that can take care of fleas. I just gave her a bath and used some flea shampoo but it didn’t help a whole lot.

idk about homemade remedies but when my dog was a puppy he had fleas and i bought him a flea and tick collar they all dissapeared in a day it really helped there only a few dollars ive seen them even at ross.

Flea collars only prevent the fleas from getting onto the head and into the ear - they don’t actually kill the fleas. If you can, go to the vet and get something called Revolution - it’s a once a month drop and it’s incredible. However, if you’re looking for home treatments, well, the only thing I’ve found to work (as I’ve had to use it on kittens who are too young for flea treatment) is Dawn dish washing soap. You’ll want a flea comb as well to try and comb out any drifters.

When bathing your pet, you can use apple cider vinegar to rinse his or her fur. This is a great flea repellent…Fleas don’t like the smell or taste.

Answer #7

Trust me– either apple cider or white vinegar. Spray it on your lawn and bathe your pets with it (and then a nice smelling conditioner if you want). It works!
