I pierced my own hips about two or three months ago, because I thought it was cute. I have a piercing kit to make it simple. And I pierce things for other people and myself as well. When I pierced my hips, they didn’t get infected or anything, but whenever you’re wearing a tight shirt; it practically moves your hip studs around, like side to side and it slides them up and down, which causes pain, fershure. It’s super annoying. And I took mine out, and now I have these gross scars from where it used to be, and it’s def. not attractive.

But on the cleaning/infection side of it, I’d just google how to keep it clean and take care of it. <– If you do decide to get it done, do it professionally. You hardly scar if you get it done professionaly verses you doing it yourself, and when you get it done professionally they’ll tell you how to take care of it and give you supplies to help.

Any piercing can be rejected by your body if you do it at home because if you use the wrong type of ring or piercing needle - your body will fight it like it’s an infection and cause your skin to reject the piercing.

To care for a hip piercing - you just have to clean it 3 times a day with warm Sea Salt water. You can use a spray botttle to apply the sea salt mixture onto the piercing. You have to do this for the first 3 months. After that you can just clean it twice a day. Morning and Night.

You have to be REALLY careful with this piercing though because it can get caught on your clothes very easily and be torn out.

you clean it liek you would any other surface piercing (just epson salt and soap - its what I use)

and by “it can reject” they mean that since it IS a surface piercing they jsut have a higher chance of your body not adjusting to them (kinda like how when you taste something bad you spit out).

but I’m had my hips done since the summer and I did like SOO much research… its a lot better to get them done with microdermals instead of bars (microdermals cost more but they chance of rejection is FAR less!)

Okay well first off, hip piercings are very risky. I had mine for about 5 months then took them out. Any piercing should be treated with either salt water, or salein solution (sorry if spelt wrong) The best thing I bought for all of my piercings is H2Ocean. You can order it or get it from any store that sales piercing products. the reason I took mine out is because they always got caught onto my jeans and shirt. it was a bit*h

Answer #6

Basicly if they reject you should take them out right when you notice it.Another thing you can do is get Mircodermals dones which doesn’t have the balls that can get caught on you’re clothing it’s just flat and there is a less rejection rate. The best way to clean them is with salt and water make sure you don’t clean them to much or it’ll get infected.

Answer #7

your body can push it out basically…I had 16 piercings and I got my hips done to make 18 and my body rejected them
