does anyone have hip dermals?

do they hurt? and what about when you get pregnant?

I’d suggest checking out ‘BMEzine’. It’s all about body modifications including piercings. There’s a link to their wikipedia on their main page, it may have some information about hip dermals.

Hip dermals have some amount of pain of course, a needle is going through your body, and its two seperate piercings. However, that area is not as painful as facial piercings, its a slight pinch and sting and its over. They are not permanant piercings though because they are surface piercings. They usually last about 6 months before your body starts rejecting the piercing and you have to remove them. You also HAVE to remove them while pregnant because that area of your body stretches quite a bit and you could not leave the piercings in

I have them, and they didn’t hurt very much at all. the only part that is painful, is if they get caught on something or hit or something like that. I would assume that you would need them to be removed when you’re pregnant. and also something else i learned is that if you have dermals for more than about eight months, after that you have to have them surgically removed bc the skin groes up through the holes. apparently it’s not like major surgery or anything. it’s just classified as surgery bc they have to use a scalpel to remove them. so that’s something to consider. but they’re really cute :D
