Why do I get hiccups when I eat too fast?

I absolutely hate it when I eat too fast and I get hiccups, I have no idea why this happens, can anyone help?

Answer #1

Maybe…and this is just a Maybe…its coz you eat too fast?

Answer #2

Because when you eat fast, you swallow large amounts of air. A small bubble pocket gets caught in your throat from the air and gives you hiccups.

Answer #3

Hiccups happen when the diaphragm and nervous system go out of sync with each other. Try not to eat so fast and you won’t get them.
