im just curious what are things you should do and the things you shouldn't in baking pies in the oven.
Don't use an easybake oven no matter what... A 60 watt lightbulb is a terrible conductor of heat when baking pies. :-)
But seriously, can you be more specific? In the meantime, here's two tips... 1) Beat an egg and brush it on the crust to give it a nice little shine. 2) Be sure the rack you're baking on is in the center of your oven.
Start at a higher temp (425) and drop it down to about 350 after 15 minutes.
Don't put a hot filling in a raw crust, as it will cause sogginess.
Avoid overworking the dough, because it will make your crust shrink when it bakes.
