how do I get my phone off silent mode ?
What sort of phone do you have? Try the settings menu, and 'sound settings' if there is one- there should be an option under there. Have a look for your original manual, or Google and online manual for your phone, as you may be able to find one. The only other option really is to find someone with the same phone and ask, or just go into a phone shop whenever you next get chance and ask them to show you =)
You can change it in your tone settings or usually if you hold the pound button (number sign) it will turn the silent mode off.
