Help with autism

NOPE. I AM NOT AN EXPERT BUT I DO KNOW THAT IT DOES NOT GO AWAY. IT IS POSSIBLE TO CONTROL THEIR BEHAVIOR. TAKE FOR INSTANCE IF YOUR CHILD REACTS TO LOUD SOUNDS. BY SIMPLY CONTROLLING SOUND AROUND HIM/HER THE CHILD WILL ACT PRETTY NORMAL. AUTISM IS STILL NOT COMPLETELY UNDERSTOOD BY DOCTORS. UP TO RECENT DECADES, PEOPLE JUST THOUGHT THEY WERE MENTALLY RETARDED.

Get rid of autism? you cant get “rid” of autism and anyone who tells you otherwise is either lying or is deluded. There are ways to manage autism so that the person can function as normally as possible, but there is no way to simply “cure” it… Look, the doctors have studied and researched this for years, you think they’re simply making things up? To what end?

Right now, the only thing I can think of is learning to help control it as virjessie79 said. Figure out what stems behaviors, and then try to eliminate them. I know there are some things that can’t be avoided…such as autistic children who stem from numbers, days of the week, etc. but there can be ways to help calm them down.

My mother works with autistic children, so I have been around the mentally disabled my entire life, and one of the boys she’s been working with stems from numbers…when he sees one and starts to obsess, my mom hands him his cd player. The music helps redirect him in a more positive way to calm him down.

You just have to really be in tune with the child and be able to step in and take control of any situation without getting angry, or stressed!

unfortunately, there is no cure for the disability, only ways on how to improve the lives of those who have it.there are a lot of autistics that are high functioning and some have even average to above-average intelligence. this is possible with all the support and help that is extended to them at an early phase.

to 808babee: please don’t be mad to the people who are not well informed regarding this disability. instead, give them some websites to check regarding ASD so they will be educated about it. also make them read about, Einstein, Van gogh, Newton, Mozart and Spielberg, all brilliant and have been speculated of having Aspergers, a mild case of autism.
