I want to lose weight this summer

I’m 16 and I weight about 185. I want to lose weight this summer. I don’t care if it takes the whole summer, but I want to be down around 130 by September. I want to know if it’s possible, and what I can do for a diet and exercise plan [and not starving myself.] I’m not doing this for a guy, I’m doing it for myself. I’m not happy in the way I am, and I need some sort of motivation. So, any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Honey, Loosing 55 pounds in a few months is not healthy. I’ll be 16 in July and I weight 154 pounds. I’m 5’4” and I should weight 126 but, I dont. Reason why are I have hips, boobs and a butt. Not cause I’m over weight. Now good ways to start is Actually eating breakfast. Studies show that kids who eat breakfast are more active during the day. Go outside and do fun things. You can walk, ride your bike, even go old school and play some tv or freeze tag lol. Eating right has a lot to do with this. You’re going to need to get your food groups in. DONT go over 2000 calories a day.

2000 is a lot of food. Unless you have junk food like chips, icecream, and other fatty things.

You should have a supper about 500 to 700 calories.

Breakfast should be anywhere between 200 and 500 calories.

Lunch should be 400 to 600.

Even with the HIGHEST consumton of those foods it’s 1800 calories.

Don’t get me wrong you SHOULD treat yourself to something you like.

Like if you drink soda switch it out with water except have like a glass with supper.

Don’t give up your favorite things just to loose weight.

I love icecream and have a bowl a day.

I know that if I cut down to every othe day I’d loose weight.

I hope I somewhat helped.

Those are just kind of guide lines because I dont know your eating habbits or anything.

The best thing to do is to excercise. You can eat healthier foods but dieting can sometimes be unhealthy. There are always sports camps that you could join. I also suggest that you find a friend to get healthier with you. Me and my friend did and it was a lot easier with someone helping me stay on track. It may take a little longer but it is well worth the wait. Good Luck!

just as long as you workout and eat healthy and dont snack and eat 3 times a day and maybe have fruit or veggies on the size you can achive your goal. im 135 and im 5’1 and I want to be about 120 or 115.

thanks, that helps. I don’t eat a lot of junk food. I just can’t lose weight fast. I’ve stayed the same size since I was 13. I’ll just try to lose what ever I can. Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely try it.

What I would do is stick to the basics, eat healthy and exercise. Don’t eat more than 2,000 calories a day, eat only things that have ingredients that you can pronounce in it, or things with less than 10 ingredients, these are usually healthier.
