Answer #2

I wrote (16 - 4) 2 + 8 and I understand your answer but how did you get 24??

Answer #3

oops yeah I was wrong lol gotta read better. thnx modest

Answer #4

PEMDAS! (parenthesis, exponenets, mutiplacation, division, addition, subraction)

7x5 - (16 - 4) 2 + 8 7x5 - 12 x 2 + 8 35 - 24 + 8 11 + 8 = 19!

your answer is 19.

:)

Answer #5

the other answer is wrong because he thought there was a +sign between (16-4)and 2

is the problem (16-4)2 or (16-4)+2?

Answer #6

ok… you can solve it if you remember the correct order… I remember it like this Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally

parenthesis, exponents, multiply, divide, add subtract.

so 7x5-(16-4)2+8 7x5-(12)2+8 7x5-24+8 35-24+8 11+8 19

does this make sense?

Answer #7

its an equation.you will have to do order of operation to complete. first you do whats in the ( ) so your problem will look like this: 7.5 - 12 + 2 + 8 then you will have to do the multiplication so then it will be this: 35 - 12 + 2 + 8 then you just subtracrt and add left to right and you will get: 23 + 10 = 33 =]

Answer #8

oh wait I see how you got 24! and thanks guys for helping me
