Dear confused 666, I am a 37 year old single mother of a 16 year old son who I believe is going through some kind of depression. I have tried to get him to open up to me, but he won’t. I tell him all the time that I will not ever give up on him and I let him know that I will always love him so that he does not ever have to feel like he is alone. I guess what I am trying to say is to go to your parents and tell them what is going on in your life. I am sure they would want to help you. I just hope that one day I can get my son to open up to me!

Good Luck with what ever you decide!
               And GOD BLESS YOU!

Dear confused666, Go to your school counsellor and speak with them. That’s what they are there for…to help. They can even speak with your parents if you wish. Everyone who yells, yells because they feel that others aren’t hearing them. Yelling back isn’t getting anything solved. We depend on the adults to be able to fix things and to know what to do but in this case I’m assuming the adults do not. So now you have to do it yourself for yourself. See the counsellor and if you have a free walk in clinic in your area then I suggest drop in there. Sue…good luck

first off you are not screwed in your head. When i was a teen i felt like i always was messing up and that no one appreciated me. I had a abusive bf and wanted to kill myself but am so glad I did not. Suicide is a permanent solution to a TEMPORARY problem. when my mom found out things got better. Just go to your parent, and say you NEED to talk .Tell her that you feel horrible, and need to see some type of counselor. I couldnt talk to my parents, but I wrote in a journal as a teen and let my feelings out. My mom found it once, read it, and got me help. Writing a letter to your parents or leaving a journal entry out there for them to find may work.
