two small indian rubber trees aren't doing well, any tips?

I recently purchased 1 small indian rubber tree and 2 regular rubber trees I originally bought them for a terrarium but they wer’nt doing so hot I was wondering what I was doing wrong I thought it might be the light because the terrarium has a back ground on it can you tell me what is wrong with them or me

I don’t think it’s the terrarium. My dad is a gardner, he raises herbaceous peonies & daylilies. From my understanding (i’m not good with plants though, but he is) use plenty of water regularly, though don’t over do it, keep the soil aerated (spelling?) and make sure to keep the temperature relatively constant for the plants.

As long as you do those things & regularly use some form of fertilizer OR change the soil carefully ever 2-3 months, you’ll be fine. Maybe another gardner can chime in with more ideas, but that should help. Good luck with your new rubber tree plants.
