What Should I Do About My Hair Its Making Me Depressed?

I dye my hair every month or so, so that my roots dont show, I dye it dark brown, However I felt like a change a few weeks ago so my mam (who is a hairdresser) bleached my hair, I knew it would go ginger but I just wanted a change, after two bleaches within the same week I desided I really wasnt happy or willing to go through with going blonde so I bought a red hair dye and dyed it red I was very happy with the colour but after 2 weeks the colour started to fade, so my mam said for the best we should dye it back to brown how it was before, I wasnt happy about this though,, but I got my usual colour and dyed it.. However, The colour I normally use and normally goes dark brown has gone black, and I look weird it doesnt suit me! now I dont care what colour my hair goes aslong as its not black! I Dyed It About 4-5 days ago, and I’ve been washing it frequently it was a semi permanent hair dye, but it wont seem to shift! I heard that using dandruff shampoo helps it fade? does any one know anything I could do? I’d just bleach it and colour it again but my hair will be even more ruined than it alredy is! Any Suggestions? xx

Okay, so my hair is natural blonde, I had the same problem. After high school, I got real big into dying my hair. It was brown and purple, its been, blue, green and red, and the last thing I tried was dying it black, I was into my whole emo phase. I’m the type of person who likes attention, so after I realized that people had grown used to my dark hair, I wanted to go back to blonde. It has been two years. But what I found was that black is the hardest color to get out of your hair. If your hair is black right now, adding more hair die to it won’t help, it’ll only damage your hair. Thats what happened to mine. Now I know this may sound annoying becuase you’ve done this in the past, but what I had to do was get all the pigment totally stripped out of my hair, that then may turn your hair a very pale blonde or white, but no worries, cause then in that same trip to the salon you can get it bleached. Thats what you’ll prob need to do. My hair was blonde again after that, but as a side effect it had streaks of an orange color. Thats okay, it only lasted awhile. you’re hair maybe different then mine to. After you get that done, just don’t buy any black dye, and to keep on the safe side, if you want your hair to be dark brown again, I’d go to a salon and get it done, but first make sure the stylist knows that last time you tried to treat your hair yourself it turned black, and that you’ve died it a lot before, and you don’t want your hair to be extremely damaged. Does this help any? I hope so.

You should ask the person in your family who is a hairdresser although no offense but you should never bleach your hair that much, a professional should know that. I am suprised your hair is not fried to the root. You can buy a color stripper for 10 or less and it will give you a base color to redye whatever color you want without harming it as much as bleach.
