What happens when you have heat stroke, in terms of vitamins?

a man has been in the dessert for a few hours and has suffered from heat stroke and when the paramedics find him they give him an isotonic solution containing electrolytes, glucose and water to rehydrate him. What vitamin would he have in his body in greater amounts after that day?

Answer #1

The symptoms of a heat stroke are:

  • Fever, or high body temperature
  • Confusion
  • Feeling dizzy
  • Headaches
  • Dry, hot skin that turns red
  • Rapid pulse or heart rate
  • Passing out or unconscious If you want to prevent heat stroke then wear light clothes in hot weather, such as t-shirts and shorts. When you are in the heat, do not be overly active and rest when you’re feeling hot or tired. Wear a hat and sunglasses, or use an umbrella when you’re outside in the sun. On very hot days, stay inside where it is cool. Drink plenty of water, drink extra water when you are active outside, especially on hot days.
