What vegtables are good to plant in the summer and what nutrients do they need?
I don't know...aren't most things supposed to be planted by june? (well, that's how it is in the northwest anyways). I'm not much of a green thumb, so I guess I'm not the best person to answer the question.
but...as far as fertilizers and things go---try to go as natural as possible. it's good for the earth and it's good for your body. you'll have your own ogranic produce!!
Depends on where you live. Tomatoes, summer squash, cucumbers, peas, green beans, broccoli, califlower, carrots, herbs are always good, hmmm...call your local extention office to find out what is good for your area or visit a nursery.
As far as nutrients, start a compost heap. Don't put any animal meat, eggs, plants with disease, etc in it. That makes the best fertilizer.
tomatoes are good to plant at the begginning of the summer and just get some tomato plant food and feed them every few weeks if they need it the best plant to buy are "big boys" they usually give some nice round juicy tomatoes!! good luck~
Carrots are great, So are green beans. My mom plants green beans, cucumbers, parsely, and lettuce. She can use it for lots of cooking so its good, and they are also low on sugar
