Health, Friends, and Internet Addiction?

All these problems are sort of connected to each other… First of all I live in the Northern part of USA so from October to February it’s WAY too cold to do any outdoor activities. I’m stuck inside for half the year and that’s when I get hardly any exercise. Then, we’re trying to move to a different town that’s about 11 miles away. So now on weekends, and over summer I hardly ever see my friends. When I switched schools I just stopped seeing my old friends. And I never thought to go do stuff with my new friends. It kind of stuck and now my weekends and summer is very anti-social. I hate being anti-social; it’s my biggest pet peeve. So over summer and on weekends I spend a good chunk of time on the computer. On the internet. And it’s consuming my life. All this free time, no exercise, always on the internet. I need to fix this. I tried before to cut myself off cold-turkey from the internet over summer, but it only reminded me that email was my only connection with my friends. I’d lost all their phone numbers, carelessly. Because I never invited them to do stuff before I don’t know how to get into that mix now. Plus how do I get exercise in freezing cold winter? And how do I get rid of internet addiction once and for all?

Hmm.. This is a bit hard for me to truly relate to, especially since I’m in the south, where it rarely gets cold, except in the winter.. And even then, only for about a month or so…

Well, first of all, get a new hobby. =] Like, joining a club at school! its okay to be in more than one. ^^ Try going and practicing your instruments more. =] I know that you play a lot of them. =-] Occupy yourself with it! Hmm… Exercise? Try writing a routine, like, 30 crunches, 20 sit-ups, and 10 push-ups on a piece of paper, and stick it on your wall. do that routine every morning. Once it gets easier, try doing more. =] like, raise it 5 of each. ^^ And when it gets warmer, run around the neighborhood or something. =]

that should not just help you get exercise, but help you spend less time on the computer. =]

Drama Club takes up a lot and so does band and orchestra. I was also in science club last year but I hardly went because of plays and concerts :P Oh god instruments yes! I hardly ever play my guitar. My ukulele is all dusty I haven’t played in so long. :P Thank you Elly!!
