Hating myself

How do I get better self esteem??

Answer #1

Don’t hate yourself. ALWAYS be happy with the person you are. Take a look at the things you have - like what you see? Be glad you’ve got it. There are lots of people in the world who have NOTHING at all. They have to dig for food wherever they can find it because they can’t afford anything. it’s sickening and very sad, but true. Then, take a look in the mirror - what do you see that you don’t like? Is it acne? If so, don’t worry about it. It’ll go away over time and yes there are things you can buy to help clear it up. Or maybe you don’t like all your facial features. Well, you know what… NO ONE has an absolute PERFECT face. We all have our flaws. And besides, what’s on the outside ISN’T all that matters… what’s on the inside is what really counts. If you come across someone who only cares about looks, they probably aren’t worth your time. True friends/lovers will accept you for who you are. As long as YOUR happy with who you are and what kind of person you are, then it’s all good.

Hope this helps you out. If you need anything else, let me know.

hey sweetheart its really quite sad that you feel this way. is there any reason for you to feel like you yourself? I was diognosed with depression quite a while back and I got better by thinking about all the good things in life. I was really down all the time and sitting inside crying, but then I started going out more and making more effort with my appearance. when you feel down just think about how you can improve your situation and get something out of life. if you need somebody to talk to just email me on Danni-e@hotmail.co.uk I will gladly help you cus I know how it feels x

well first it starts by looking in the mirror and accepting you are human, you are not perfect.

second you have to look at what you are good at- sports, art, writing- there is something that makes you special- find it.

third you need to surround yourself with ‘trustworthy’ POSITIVE friends- and start doing POSITIVE (and not destructive) things.

what has really helped me over the years is HELPING SOMEONE ELSE- getting a large smile in return, thankful eyes- it makes a world of difference, so my personal self esteem is kind of mingled with that.
