Why is it so hard to forgive and forget...?

Answer #1

Because, as humans, we don’t just “forget”. We find that very difficult. We can forgive, but it will take a lot longer to forget. Humans tend to live in the past, and find it difficult to move forward.

Answer #2

When our hearts are hurt it is difficult for us to move past it. It is far easier to forgive than it is to forget.

Answer #3

My motto- Forgive but don’t forget.!

Answer #4

Well it would be stupid to forget. I mean unless you’re talking about something really insignificant, forgetting would mean you lose the lesson. I have a theory about the forgiving part. I think people confuse forgiveness with saying that what happened was ‘ok’. Which of course it isnt. We just dont like to let it go because it’s like saying the other person was right.
