How can you make someone happy, when there mom just got breast cancer?

Answer #1

I’m sorry for your friend. How scary. The best thing you can do is be a good supportive friend. Try to get them out and help them take their mind off their troubles, yet be respectful if they ask to be given space.

Answer #2

aw man that sucks :( you could try to make them laugh more or keep saying “she’ll get better” but if shes really upset just give her a little space for a while, also listen to her more when she talks and try not to interrupt her or something. k hope this helped! :)

Answer #3

Im sorry to hear about your friends mom. My dad was diagnosed with colon cancer when i was 18 and just out of highschool. My friends are what helped me get through that time. Be there for her when she needs to talk, but dont ever push the issue. Sometimes we need to be alone to think and feel our emotions as well. You can find ways to be supportive and show her that you care, you and her could start a breast cancer awareness fundraiser (you would be suprised how therapeutic it can be) and donate the profits to the breast cancer awareness foundation. Send her and her mother pink roses out of the blue wishing them both the best. In the end though, you just need to be there for her, whether that means listening, being the shoulder to cry on, or helping her cope.

Answer #4

Just make sure they know your thair for them. They will feel at least a little bit comforted knowing that they have someone to go to and talk about how they are feeling or just have someones sholder to cry on.

Answer #5

Best thing to do for her, is be there when she needs you. You can’t control someone’s feelings, she is going to feel like she is going to feel, and when she feels like when she needs someone by her side be there for her, when she needs to talk, when she needs to get out of all this thinking and feelings be there, that’s all it takes to make your friends feel better. I’m very sorry about your friend :(

Answer #6

Also, don’t forget to give her her own space, make sure that she does not feel overwelmed with you being there and all that, give her time to think and to figure out her feelings.

Answer #7

What I would do is go all breast cancer awareness. I’d wear pink, the ribbons, tshirts, anything I can get my hands on to show that I’m there for him/her and their mother and that I’m going to be here until we get through it.

Answer #8

we goto a priv catholic school. Can’t wear pink. already tried. i wore a pink cammi and got yelled at.

Answer #9

You can`t always make some happy when they are going through the worst tragedies in their life , you need to give that person time and be there for that person if they need anything or just a person to talk to, so just show her some comfort and tell her to stay strong.
