Why does my hair look so thin after straightening?

Well i used to have really thick and long hair.. it was to the end of my back.. then i cut it and now it’s at the start of my stomach.. when i straighten it it looks REALLY thin ._. why is that? :(+

Answer #1

it could be reallllllly damaged from heat.

Answer #2

Probably because when it’s natural it’s thicker & poofy but when you straighten it it all goes flat giving it the appearance of making it thin.

Answer #3

Ill stop straightening it for along while and see if it’s not thin anymore :) thanks

Answer #4

But does that mean it’s thick or thin? >_<

Answer #5

It is also due to the chemicals used. I had the same kind of experienced

Answer #6

Straighning ur hair means your putting your hair beetween two hot plates and pulling it down forcing it together. It will you give the look of thinner hair and take down some of the volume. It could be damaged as well. When you straightn your hair your just burning it and can burn off little thin bits of hair. You might notice you have more hair in your brush or little pieses falling out. Try useing a good heat protector like tresseme or chi silk infusion or herbel essence straight one. These will help protect your hair
