I think you are better off just straightening you hair and using a hair product that protect against the heat I did the chemical thing and my hair got really week and everytime I put my hands through my hair it would come out with peices of my hair it totally ruined my hair! so yeah!

It cost me $50 and it last about a month.Longer if you don’t wash it too often.I don’t know what race you are but,I’m black so my answer is coming from a more curly I.e kinky perspective.

I hear these japanese straightening ones work. but all of these techniques fry the hell out of your hair. if you want it done well, there is no cheap way around it. trust me…go to a high end salon like Redken 5th Avenue, or since you’re in Cali I’ve heard the beest of the best are the “Michi Style” salon, it’s on Robertson Boulevard in West Hollywood, and the “Taka Hair Salon” in Los Angeles…they both offer amazing japanese straightening perms, they straighten hair in healthy ways witout blowdrying or flat ironing so check them out. it’s worth it. it’s your hair after all

I paid $40 and it completely damaged my hair and didn’t even work, my hair was literally falling out.

you would be better off using a straightner. I did that to my hair once, paid $80 to get it done and my hair was breaking off so bad I had to get 7 inches cut off of it. just not worth it.
