Does your hair feel/look different when you use a more expensive shampoo and conditioner?

Just askin cuz i was using herbal essence then i switched to biolage and i been using it for a week…i definitely notice a differance in my hairs texture and smell ;)

Answer #1

For me, it doesn’t seem to do anything :/ my hair still stays dry no matter what I try to it.

Answer #2

Your hair doesn’t look dry in pics. Its pretty. Have u tried olive oil treatment?

Answer #3

Lol it is extremely :o at the end of the day, because it is dry, I get massive fist sized knots, and I’m not exaggerating. I do that treatment twice every week :/ doesn’t seem to do anything except make my hair extremely oily for the one day :P

Answer #4

I’ve been using the same shampoo and conditioner for a while now since a friend recommended it. Before that I used Head and Shoulders, but I found it just awful for my hair. So I suppose there was a difference. I don;t even think it;s the price of a shampoo/conditioner, my hair can feel better even when I have to use a cheaper one for a day or so.

Answer #5

Nope not with expensive conditioners I see no difference. Only Aussie & garner frutics does justice to my hair.

Answer #6

Hmm have u asked a perfessional?

Answer #7

Its funny when i switch even for the cheap kinds just that first new wash makes a difference too…lol

Answer #8

I don’t think it matters on how expensive one thing is, you just gotta find what’s right for you and your hair. Sometimes it’s the cheap things that are better.

Answer #9

Well, it doesn’t seem to do anything its just the same with the cheaper one.

Answer #10

For me personally, my hair looks and feels best using kerastase shampoo and conditioner which is pretty expensive. I use it because I have psoriasis on my scalp and ever other shampoo/conditioner I have used exacerbates it. Other people find that cheaper products work better for them. It really depends on the person.

Answer #11

ive tried expensive cheap shampoo there all the same to me

Answer #12

Depends which one I’m using. ALthough I find alot of cheap ones work amazingly on virgin hair.

Answer #13

Try an oil treatment. Olive oil preferrably. Stuffs awesome can come to $6 an 8 oz. Safflower oil is good too, and better for dyed or chemically processed hair. Way cheaper than olive oil with alot more of it.

Adam Carrola asks this question: Have you ever seen a bald headed homeless person? I think we put too much chemicals in our hair. The simpler the better is what I say.

Answer #16

lol tue

Answer #17

Hair can become used to one product after you’ve used it for a while, just like how your body becomes immune to deodorants. I think it’s good to switch products every once in a while because it will be completely new to your hair and you’ll notice a big difference. the amount of money you pay for a product doesn’t necessarily determine the effectiveness. I use Treseme conditioner and it’s really, really cheap, but it works really well for my hair. It all depends on the type of hair you have. And I guess it depends on your budget too :)

Answer #18

Not really, it doesn’t matter on the price. The key is to get shampoo & conditioner to match your hair type. Like if you have curly hair, getting shampoo & conditioner for flat hair won’t have as good as an effect as curly or anti frizz might have.

Answer #19

Kind of, yes.Mind you once in a while you find a really good shampoo and conditioner wheich are cheep :)

Answer #20

i use herbal essence and its not exactly cheap or expensive, its in the middle and it makes my hair suuuper soft. It all depends on your hair texture and if its dry or greasy, to what shampoo you should buy. Price isnt a big part of that though.
