Straighten your hair so much that it will fall off?

Is it possible to straiten your hair so much that it will fall off?

Answer #1

I use conditioner ALL the time.and I also straighten my hair evry2 days.. and my hair is perfectly helthy.. although my friend has been straightening her hair for 3yrs & STILL used conditioner and heat protector creams and now has REALLY burnt hair..it may depend on the person but I suggest that you dont staighten your hair TOO often,.

Answer #2

your hair just frys when you straighten it, but I used to do it on a daily type of thing and my hair was dead.. so now I dont do it daily I’ll do it like every 2 weeks or something…

Answer #3

I can’t attest to straightening, but I’ve heard the same thing about using a hair dryer every day, I have for years and my hair is still healthy… You may want to take protective steps like those suggested above, just incase…

Answer #4

only if you dont use any conditioner. and its usually really good to use serem before and after you straighen you hair. also a heat protecter is good to spray on before you straighten your hair.

Answer #5

Some say that, but I don’t believe it. I straighten my hair everyday (when I don’t have these braids in) and I have been for years, my hair is still really healthy.

Answer #6

NO THAT ONLY HAPPENS IF YOU DONT TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR HAIR.

Answer #7

you can definately damage your hair with irons and dyes. when hair is dry and damaged enough, it will break and leave you with split ends. make sure you don’t “overstyle” and that you use really good conditioning products. check out tigi catwalk oatmeal and honey shampoo and conditioner. very effective and it smells great.
