i know this is an older post, but honestly, its not a cool or laid back thing and its not that he just doesn't care. For me it was that i had to diggest what was going on. so many questions run through my head. Do i wanna date? do i wanna go out on a date? do i wanna talk to her for real? whut's she like? will she hate me? sometimes it just takes a little nerve to get going. You never see girls calling guys :P its just pressure... but yes there are still dic|{s that don't care. Not all guy are dic|{s, but all guys have dic|{s.
Most of the time we do have more important things to do! (jk) Really though, if dude called you right away, and couldn't wait to see you, you would think less of him. Women don't want a man that comes running at the drop of a hat. If we drop everything in our lives for you, you begin to resent us because we come off as weak. I would say if a guy calls right away you should be aware, he will probably become your stalker in a few months!
Well sometimes it's because the guy really doesn't even care, but most of the time the guy wants to seem cool, laid back and like you want him more then he wants you.
In my opinion..either he forgets or he just doesn't want to seem desperate or come off as needy. Pretty much what everybody else mentioned earlier ^^^ lol
We really can't seem to clingy or the girl very well may loose interest. Also it is the social convention.
