Female bodybuilding is a popular sport among women who want to become defined as their male counterparts. It is much more difficult though, because in order to build muscles, the body has to be put in an anabolic state, which is derived from testosterone. Testosterone is found in the female, but is very hard to access it due to the large amount of estrogen, so many take testosterone boosting pills to force anabolism.
There is a man at my gym whose parents were bodybuilders and he said that his mom had a hard time because many people thought she was applying steroids to look like the men. That could be true, but it's also dependent on the individual's genetic makeup as well.
If you want to be "buff" then go for it. Remember, building muscle is 70% nutrition, so never neglect a healthy diet because without it, all the time in the gym and time spent sleeping won't even help you.
Although I do not find it attractive (I prefer soft & curvy) I have met some female athletes who have incredible muscular development.
As I work in the diving industry I have seen some women divers whose bodies look like they are sculptured in marble- serious hard bodies !!
yes, havent you seen female body builders? girls can get buff pretty much just as much as guys can, its just takes a LOT of hard work
ofcourse they can, there are even competitions for women just as there are for men for the muscles and how "buff" they are.
Well, maybe not quite like the average guy can.
But some make a half hearted attempt .....

Yes, just like a guy can, by working out.
