Do guinea pigs like people who talk to them a lot?

i’m not a talker and i don’t want them to feel they’re not in attention.

I dont think you have to talk to them, but they can be sociable, so you pick them up or stroke them, its best to have more than one too.

No, I doubt it.. Guinea pigs, hamsters, rats ect… those specises you don’t need to talk to them.

i had one and he liked it poor alfred he lived up to be such a wise little thing now i have rats i talk to them and they come when i say there name the more attention u give to your rodent it will show more love and affection even if all u do is touch the little thing

All animals like humans thrive on interaction. They may not understand you and their instincts tend to focus on survival which is determining threat or nonthreat….so they are and can become receptive to voice vibrations particularly if they become a common sound they hear that is non threatening or associated with treats or something they deem positive.

My guinea pig Woody loves when people chatted to him.He use to answer in his adorable guinea pig way :3 He was a dear little chap

Ohhh yes! If you don’t talk to a guinea pig, your bond with them with fade and they will think of you as a stranger. Bottom line, if you want them to like you, talk to them at least once a day.
