Do you think it's gross to share your food with your dog by a fork ?

Don’t get onto me for table feeding my dogs I don’t do it often. xD

Answer #1

People say that dog’s mouths are actually very clean but my dog licks his genitalia every day so there’s no way I’m gonna be sharing eating utensils with him.

Answer #2

Nah, I do it too :P

Answer #3

I kinda agree with that but I do it anyways. xD

Answer #4

Haha a lot of people do and I probably would too if he was a small inside dog who’s clean but he’s a staffy who rolls in dirt and mud all day and is just too dirty for that sort of thing! XD

Answer #5

No. You never know where your dog’s mouth has been. Just as I am typing this, our little do is chewing an old shoe: yuk!

Answer #6

Oh my gosh no I have a pit that eats everything & drools like mad but I would never share my fork with her. I share it with my little cleanish min pin. xD

Answer #7

I would never share my food by fork with an animal. There are far too many sicknesses that can be transmitted to humans through dog saliva (ex: rabies), so I’d never chance it. In addition to that, dogs noses and tongues go everywhere. They sniff and eat garbage sometimes, they lick and sniff themselves, plus other dogs as well.

No thank you. xD

Answer #8

I used to do it as a kid but as I got older I stopped

Answer #9

I would

Answer #10

Who the f told you a dog’s tounge is very clean? o__O??

Answer #11

I could never do that sorry, I find it gross becuase like people have said, you have no idea whee that dog has put in his/her mouth and/or licked (toilet water, the ground, his/her private parts etc) so I find it unsanitary =P

Answer #12

Actually, it’s not a good idea. Because a dogs mouth has a multitude of bacteria. Thats just a myth that a dogs mouth is clean, because their saliva has a healing agent. Kind of like the 5 second rule. In those 5 seconds something is on the ground/floor, it picks up over 5 million bacteria particles, even more than that if it’s dropped on a porous surface.

Answer #13

i do it. wen i was a year old i had a dog. we used to share a biscuit. one bite me and one bite him. he is dead now. now i do it with my new dog.

Answer #14

It is gross ….but so funny to imagine :)…I have witnessed a young dog eating a 2 year olds poo straight from the potty (my nephews)…so yuk… and lessons learn to never share flem with a dog.

Answer #15

lol a dogs mouth is cleaner then a human’s.. it’s a known fact. :).

Answer #16

It’s actually a myth. They have far more bacteria in their mouth then we do but their bacteria doesn’t transfer to us. :p

Answer #17

is it? :P.. i’m too lazy to find out :D…

Answer #18

Lots of people including vets, it’s a known fact. Dispite what they do with their mouths on a daily basis their saliva itself is very sanitary. You know how they lick their wounds when they’re hurt? If you injure yourself you’d benefit from your dog licking it.

Answer #19

Yes, but I do that lol.

Answer #20

I think that’s a myth?..

Answer #21

I know it’s not. Their mouths are dirty yes, but their saliva is clean. :)

Answer #22

i think it should not do.because there are a lot of germ within the dog’s mouth and saliva and you may infected with rabis

Answer #23

Yeah its pretty gross because you never know what they put in their mouth and another thing is that your dog might chip its tooth on the fork if it bites down too hard

Answer #24

Yeah its pretty gross because you never know what they put in their mouth and another thing is that your dog might chip its tooth on the fork if it bites down too hard

Answer #25

I share food with my dog every day

Answer #26

Dogs tounges are cleaner than ours by far my dog and I share ice cream….a dogs tounge and saliva also acts as a medication to a small cut or scrap on a human…after cleaning the wound have ur dog lick it….it will heal faster….kinda acts like a neosporin substitute
