The efficacy of all hormonal BC pills is at or above 99%. (IF you take them as directed.) Their main difference is in the side effects - and two different women can have different side effects with the same pill. Unfortunately, the main way of figuring out YOUR side effects is to try one and see.
Incidentally, if you have to go onto antibiotics while also on BC pills, the antibiotics can interfere with the BC pills and lessen their efficacy. So while on antibiotics you may want to use alternate or additional birth control - e.g. condoms.
Good Luck!!
