I like it because it was Awesome!!!

OK. Saw the movie two days ago - excellent in many ways. Fine portrayal of neighborhood evolution, change. Excellent portrayal of gang mentality, community survival modes. Movie was harsh in some ways - aftermath of rape was probably more real than most shown in movies. Eastwood did an excellent job of being an opinionated, fed up, mean old man who was doing what we all do - protecting himself on an emotional level. The neighbors, taking him at the value of his deeds, not his grumbling, saw though his defenses and made him one of them, once again belonging, when he felt he may never belong again. I think this is one that I will see more than once. For those who are politically correct, suffer. I think that most everyone was good and insulted to their face at least once in the movie! I think the only one in the movie who wasn’t directly insulted was the dog, Daisy. Good movie, and will likely fade in the box office. Just not suited for common viewing.

I loved the Movie and cant think why Clint wasn’t nominated for an acting oscar, as we know Clint’s quite a placid guy in real life , to turn in an acting performance like this takes something professional. Hope its not his swansong though, I would have liked him to have blown away the bad guys at the end and come back for a sequel, like all his best Dirty Harry & man with no name movies, sheer class.
