Graduating a year early?

I really really want to graduate a year early…this year but my parents have to agree. the only problem is they are sketchy about it. I think this is because they might not think I am mentally ready or the fact that I will be only 16 if I do graduate this year. well I need suggestions to prove to my parents.. expecially my mother that I am ready and I can do this. I already wrote her a very sophisticated letter explaining to her that I am ready and I will get good grades but please is there anything else I can do?

Answer #1

yes I have considered EVERY pro and con but I still want to do this

Answer #2

Have you seriously considered all the consequences?

You’ll be leaving your friends behind a year early. If you go into college, you’ll have trouble fitting in because you are so young. You’ll have to do a lot of extra work to graduate early, which means less time for a social life, as well as added stress.

If you can show your parents that you’ve considered all aspects, and come up with a good argument for every consequence, they will be more likely to allow it.
