Why is the government allowing more fast food restaurants to be built?

is it so the employment rate can increase?

Answer #1

Government ALLOWING ???? Maybe in Russia

Answer #2

I think I know why you ask and the govt doesn’t really care about our health they just pretend to because it’s politically correct. Why is tobacco legal? Because it’s a big part of the economy and a huge source of tax revenue.

Answer #3

Its not the gov’t job to ban fast food or stop new restaurants from being built. If people want to eat their it is their decision. We don’t need the gov’t to hold our hands and walk us through every decision in life. If someone dies of a heart attack from eating too many greasy cheese burgers its their own dam fault.
If the gov’t regulates every little aspect of our lives we end up with China. No thanks. The gov’t already regulates too much and makes it difficult to make an honest living ones you step outside being a cog in the system. The last thing we need it more gov’t regulations. Lets get rid of a couple 100,000 gov’t regs and stop trying to fix the country by “taxing it rich”.

Answer #4

In the US few things trump the profit motive. There used to be an idea that businesses in exchange for their existence should also contribute to the common good. Now we look at business as having rights just like people do; in this context business is free to do anything that doesn’t offend the sensibilities of the ruling class.

Answer #5

People can say no.

It’s not the goverments job to keep people from eating stuff that’s bad for them.
