ty is right its unessesary to think that everyone who isnt part of a sterotype is all of a sudden “blank” even people who are part of a sterotype are “blank” as you call it you dont need to call yourself a lable to see yourself as more important than everyone else you can wear all the black you want and just be yourself, you dont need to call yourself a goth anyway nailpolish tips well black is a good choice, cheap nailpolish is usually as good as the expensive stuff you could even have red underneath the black, then scratch away bits of black to give it a cracked look, or have the colurs the other way around makeup, well pale face…white… makeup looks okay, doesnt suite everyone though black eyeliner/mascara, ect you could even wear blue, purple, and silver mnakeup…whatever you like really and hatevr you think suits you, you dont need to follow trends songs, well theres lots of gothic bands google can help you with that as there styles all vary and I dont know your music taste

Well, if you can, you should just buy artifical long nails. You can get them cheap at beauty supply stores and its less hassle than to keep painting them. They usually stay on about a week.

“Going goth”? It’s just another label. Please don’t plunge yourself into a stereotype. Why can’t you be yourself?

if you need help “going goth” than you shouldn’t be goth. if your goth, its what comes naturally. just like with preps, jocks, punks, whatever. they’re like that because they were raised that way, or some event (NOT the day they decide they want to “fit in”) changes them. and besides, who wans to fit in if your a complete fake. If you want to fit in then you should find a group of people who like you for you, whether you’re goth, slut, nerd, etc. you’ll fit in with your group of friends, you can’t fit in with everyone. there’s always going to be AT LEAST one group that hates you or thinks your wierd.

Goths do wear black, but are very nice people. so first thing is, be nice! Im a goth, always been…but I dont look it. I wear whatever makes me comfortable. Yet Im still goth. wear black nailpolish, very easy or red. black eyeliner, red lipstick. black cloths, lace, leather, long jackets. boots. as I said Im goth like, because Im interested in the music and culture. I also have an interest for wiccan. music is…please dont think “The cure” Poser crap. Things like “theatre of tragedy” “nemesea” “entwine” “HIM” “Type O negative” I dont only listen to that… Im a metal head too…and adore slipknot. but yeah, be yourself, all I can say… do what makes you happy

I’m sorry, but self identity is about your own exploration over the years. Not an overnight change. You’ve not received the runt of comments in here yet - there will be people who will call you a ‘wannabe’, among others.

You can’t decide to be ‘goth’ overnight and expect to like all their songs and way of life. Goths are stereotyped to be broody and melancholic, is that a way of having “fun in your life”? Well, that’s a sad life if you choose to be that way. Some people are just naturally like that, or become like that due to events in their life. Real goths don’t do it because it’s a fad.

You don’t know any of us, so you can’t say that we’re “blank people so boring so white”. And please, advice you don’t like to hear doesn’t mean that they are bad advice.

I have done a lot and I have a lot of different friends that like me weather I ride a harley or hunt or play hockey or where bibs. I does not matter, Yeh and don’t call people blank, boring and so white, What do you think goth is, it is very boring and Black,,, no color no life and most people I see that are goth, don’t even look you in the eye, they hide behind a false face… NOT saying all, just the ones I have seen, Be yourself and you do not turn goth over night, just has a person who buys a Harley is not a biker. it takes years of who you are and that is it no changing
