what are some good things to paint that have a spooky effect to them?

i have to do a few paintings for work and i want to do some paintings that are spooky and have a bit of a vintage feel to them. i need some inspiration!

The thing I find most spooky is when you see paintings of abandoned houses, gas stations, etc. I also get spooked by pictures of very dark paths that lead into a forest or street in the middle of nowhere. Dark, gloomy things, mostly.

fall trees with differnt coloured leaves on a cloudy day. days like those i find are just so beautiful

How about a dark setting on a hill with a lone dead tree, like the dusk theme and like I dunno a girl staring with her head tilted clutching a teddybear. I’m bad @ depicting but its quite spooky in my head trust:) I have major goosebumps right now lol
