What is a good internet provider through satalite, like at&t that isn't very expensive?

My internet is now cancelled because it was way too costly and not very good. We had only a certain ammount of downloads and uploads a month and when it went over the ammount our internet would be slow or not working. It was too much for the ammount they gave us. I can’t get hughes net or anything that has to do with fiber optic cables. It has to go through satalite because I live int he middle of nowhere I guess. Any suggestions would be great as I want to get on the internet at home again.

Satellite internet provides usually slower connection speeds and can often go out during storms. My suggestion would be DSL, which is a ground connection, you’ll get higher speed connections for one and you’ll almost never have any down time except for maintenances which are usually pretty rare. I use Charter and I get really good connection speeds every now and then because I live in a city there’s some bandwidth issues (people overloading servers) but the internet usually even then will run at a pretty high speed. (High enough to run online games, and browser simultaneously with no issues, though download times can increase…) But overall DSL compared to Satellite (Which I’ve had both), DSL takes the cake, it’s about 10x faster and usually just as cheap.

Oh I answered without actually clicking on the question… Sorry, yeah that’s a bummer about not being able to use DSL, I don’t know too much about Satellite I had mine with a service provider that no longer actually exists. I’ve heard verizon offers a good satellite internet. The price I’m not to sure about…

I’d love to get DSL but there isn’t any available where I live at all. They don’t have the lines way out in the country where I live. I have two choices dial up or stalite for probably about two more years or more.
