Either way of spelling/saying it is actually appropriate. Duct=for ductwork. Duck=It’s waterproof. The U.S. Army called it duck tape cause they found it was waterproof, then they used it for almost everything. (This was many years ago)

I used duct tape on my boobs since I wear an e cup and was dancing and didnt feel like having my bra show because my dance instryctor was a cow and taking the tape off afterwards hurts soooooo badly!
