Good classical music with Cello

Yo Yo Ma, and try Joe Hisaishi. it’s orchestral but there are some good cello parts, like Legend of Ashitaka and the Legend of teh Wind from the Nausicaa of the Valley of the wind.

Hiya, I like to think myself the resident classical expert :) What kind of classical you after? Elgar’s Cello Concerto is a fantastic piece of music, very Englishy, although very much brooding. I also like Boccherini cello concerto no 1. Arpeggione Sonata by Schubert (D. 821), very typically early romantic, quite simplistic, usually performed with a cello and piano. Hmm after writing this I have realised how little music I have for the cello…

Well.. I don’t know any classical. BUT if you like cello, there’s this japanese singer who is creepy as hell, but is an AMAZING cellist. Her name is Kanon Wakeshima. Her music is reallly different but for some odd reason I like it. Some songs that I’ve heard are “‘Suna No Oshiro”‘ and ‘“Still Doll.’” youtube them!
