A good place to start is something that you find interesting or if you have a question that you think you could awnser through experimentation. The easiest would maybe growing a plant its very generic but you could put your own twist on it.

for mine last year, i made two solar oven boxes. (ill give you the link on how to make one) but anyway, one solar oven had heavy duty aluminum foil on it, and the other i put regular aluminum foil on it. so the aluminum foil is the independent variable. then, i would put them both outside at the same time, both of them having the same amount of sunlight, and i would leave them both out for likeā€¦..idk 10 minutes? and then check both their temperatures and see which solar oven absorbed the most heat.

my teacher made me put the solar oven boxes outside everyday for 5 days, and add 5 minutes each day. and record the data on which one was hotter, etc.

sorry if i got confusing lol
