Can anybody name me some cool 20th century African Americans?

But they have to be people that made some impact on the world, maybe by music or war, etc. But they have to be cool because the other classmates are writing about the same people. I want to write about an interesting 20th century african american. Its for a project so dont judge me.

How about Dorothy Dandridge - she was the first African American woman to be nominated for an Oscar (best actress). She lived from 1922 to 1965. There’s a really interesting film about her life. “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge” and Halle Berry plays the lead role.
