in america can girls be scouts?
Whoa, these answers are confusing. I'm going to hijack this question a little, if I may... :)
Ok, in my country we have Scouts (formerly Boy Scouts) and Girl Guides (which would be the equivalent of Girl Scouts, as given in the website URL in amblessed's answer). We have Girl Guide biscuits instead too. Here, a girl can join the Scouts. A boy cannot join the Girl Guides.
So... in America, can a girl join the Scouts, as distinct from the Girl Scouts?
