Ok, I'm dating my first boyfriend/first love from three years ago again and he's the only good boyfriend I've ever had. Since the last time we dated I've been in some really bad relationships. So, here's my dilemma. Everytime I hear him tell me that he loves me, it scares me because I'm not use to a guy actually caring and loving me so much. So how do I get re-used to that?
Dear blackstar_wolf, Your first step is to get into counselling. You are suffering from low self-esteem and need to get some help to get you on track. You've had several bad relationships you said and they could have been because you unintentionally sabotaged them or you felt you didn't deserve them or deserved to be treated well. The common denominator with all these bad relationships is you...seek out counselling and you may be surprised how quickly with the right strategy you can regain your self-esteem. Sue...good luck
