if they are both good.
Oh and remember, these are median incomes. I am pretty sure that surgeons have higher earning capacities than general practitioners do. So the surgeons probably make a lot more on the higher end if they're really good.
Median incomes according to ONET (national database)
Family and General Practitioners: $160,530
Psychiatrists: $160,230
Internists: $166,400+
Surgeons: $166,400+
Lawyers: $113,240
Judges: $112,830
oh, lol! i didnt even realize it sort of came out that way, no it was completely coincidental. I was just searching in a random order...
I agree with Colleen. Expect to make 6 figures in either profession but specializing in something rakes in more dough than GP.
No? 166 is still larger than 160? also, there's a little plus sign there which i'm pretty sure means they make more than 166.
Hmm, that's interesting. So basically, a family doctor makes more that a surgeon?
It depends on how good they are at their profession and what they specialize in
Oh, sorry... I thought the list was from greatest to least. :P
a surgeon makes more money but a doctor makes very good also.
Haha, that's fine. :P
