How do I tell my parents I am transgendered?

How to talk to my parents about my gender feelings. I was born all boy but I dont feel like a boy. Im transgendered and scared to tell my parents that im a girl not a boy. Please Help.

Answer #1

I wouldnt wait. I would just take one parent (which ever you feel more comfortable with) and talk to them about it. You cant hide somthing like that for too long.

Answer #2

I think you should wait till your a bit older to tell them. Just so your 100% sure about yourself. They will understand more if your an adult telling them.

Answer #3

Well done for deciding to tell them! Its absoulty fine! Im sure they will understand just as long as your sure! I hope this helps ! xxx

Answer #4

r you seriously a girl but they think your a boy?? ( if so im like so confused!!)

ok well anyway hurry up and tell them!!! you cant keep something like that hidden!!!

Answer #5

They will probably be upset at first, but you have to be true to yourself. If they truly love you, they will accept you. They may be embarrassed at first (sorry, but it’s true), but hopefully they will come around soon.

Good luck. :)

Answer #6

hey first of all it’s okay and your parents will love you no matter what so you should not be worried about telling me this at all. They will always be there for you no matter what so just approch the situation logically. I suggest sitting both of them down and asking them not to say anything until your down speaking. Just explain what your feeling and how you were scared about approching them. I’m sure they will take it okay just be honest and good luck!

Answer #7

I agree, you have to be honest with them. Your their son/daughter =) and they should love you no matter what.

Answer #8

just be honest with them. it’ll help, and you’ll feel better.
