How many gb's will a dvd take up on a hard drive
Here is a list of DVD capacities:
8cm, single sided, single layer = 1.4GB 8cm, single sided, dual/double layer = 2.6GB 8cm, double sided, single layer = 2.8GB 8cm, double sided, dual/double layer = 5.2GB
12cm, single sided, single layer = 4.7GB 12cm, single sided, dual/double layer = 8.54GB 12cm, double sided, single layer = 9.4GB 12cm, double sided, dual/double layer = 17.08GB
That’s approximately the maximum room it will take on your hard drive for the particular type of DVD that you want to store.
Okay it really depends on the movie if you download a torrent then its 750mbs or so but if you get it off a dvd its about 4gbs and if your that worried go to tigerdirect.com or newegg.com and buy your self a new IDE or SATA hard drive so you dont have to worry about if youhave enough
it wont take up much space on yur disc, but it may slow yur system down abit..best to watch it and delete it, either way make sure yu scan yur system wiv adaware.se , so it doesnt bring virii to yursystem.
