It’s Streaching. In like other coutries they do it. I think that’s were it all started from. I don’t know. But the higher the number of the gauge the smaller it is. Like for exp,I have 8s. Which aren’t very big. A stranded size earing hole is a 20 or an 18. It goes down from there. It’s like 20,18,16,14 (14 is the size gauge for girls when they have their belly pierced) 12,10,8,6,4,2,0s and then it moves into Half intches and like 4/8s. And stuff. Just gets bigger and bigger. Google it XD

What does it mean to enlarge or gauge your hole? It means to simply stretch or expand your piercing. It’s not just your ear, it can be anywhere like your navel, tongue, nose, nipple, etc…

Whats 4mm? 4mm = 6g.

How big? Look at a ruler. 4mm = 4mm on a ruler but in circumference. It’s roughly a bit thinner then a pen though.

Whats the avantage of enlarge your hole? Theres is no ‘’advantage’’. It’s a personal preference. Someone likes the way it looks so they do it.
