An € is about 1,40$ currently. The 1€ used to be 0,70 $ when it was introduced in 2002, but right now the Euro is strong and the dollar is weak.
Wages are about equal in most jobs. A doctor will have about 4000€ to 6000€ per month, a factory worker gains about 1500€ to 2500€ per month, depending on qualification.
In NW Montana, $3.89/gal for premium. Regular is around $3.78 or something. IDK I use premium to avoid the ethanol as most places around here have no ethanol in premium. My s10 runs like crap on anything with ethanol.
We've always had it twice as expensive as you have it. GB is even more expensive. France and Spain are about equal. Most of the price are safe-the-d*mn-environment-taxes. :-) That's why we build tiny cars.
The last time I checked, gas was about 65c a litre (maybe more now). 91 R.O.N. petrol was around $1.50 (Australian) a litre: add close to 10% for the U.S. price.
