Gap year

Im trying to find a job involved in event management, preferably things such as wedding planners or party planners for my gap year once I’ve graduated! But it is impossible to find anything. Please if anybody knows of anything…I really need help!

Isn’t there a way you can start your own party planning business/even management business? or maybe go work for free for awhile to get an idea of what needs to be done at events and THEN start your own business in it?

Offer to do one person’s party for free and then use them as a reference for the rest to attract clients.
